Picture Perfect - the Temples of Angkor

Spot the imposters. Entrance to the capital city of Angkor Thom.

South gate to Angkor Thom. Not a bit overstated.

One of many pics of those monkeys

Don't eat my hand!

All aboard!

The Bayon temple at Angkor Thom

They had a bit of a thing about doorways
in the 12th century

Entrance to Phaboun, the world's largest 3D jigsaw

Where's Wally, I mean Caelan (black top, brown shorts)

Lost in translation

Friendly local? We didn't stay long to check

The most picturesque ruins around. Near the Royal Palace

Doorways and windows = great photo ops

The tree roots at Ta Prohm just flow over the ruins

Another friendly local?

Looks like a good place for an adventure. Ta Prohm again

The circle of life: human dominates nature, nature fights back

More picturesque trees at Ta Prohm

Magnificent, if a little showoff-y, entrance to Angkor Wat

Gatehouse at Angkor Wat

Amazing stonework at Angkor Wat

Swim anyone?

Steep stone steps.  Imagine the poor guy who had to carry the
water up to fill up the pools up there
Slightly less steep entrance for 21st century

Some of the restored stonework at Angkor Wat

Peter and Caelan have a cute moment at Angkor Wat
